AKI Strategic Plan 2021-2025
AKI to enhance digitisation and stakeholder engagement in new strategyAKI has unveiled its 2021-2025 Strategic Plan which lays emphasis on stakeholder engagement and digitising processes at both industry and Secretariat levels. Other areas of focus include; capacity development, enhancing self-regulation and enhancing institutional sustainability.
The AKI vision remains to champion insurance growth and excellence and the five year strategic plan has laid out initiatives and activities that are geared towards achieving the following outcomes by 2025; increase insurance penetration to 4%; increase insurance premium growth to Ksh535billion; increase customer awareness to 70% and increase premium density to Ksh10,000 from the current Ksh4,800.
The AKI members and key stakeholders are at the core of the strategy. ‘We would like to proactively build long term partnerships that are based on value addition, professionalism and reliability’ said Tom Gichuhi, AKI’s Executive Director during the unveiling of the plan.
